02What the module does

Less routine. More value.

The Signi integration sends a document from Draivix for electronic signature and attaches the signed PDF back to the document. You can sign contracts and other documents without printing, and the signed version stays with the record. The system checks the signature status at regular intervals.

  • Sign directly from the documentSend a document for electronic signature via Signi right from the document detail view. You sign contracts and other documents without printing.
  • System creates the contract automaticallyDraivix creates the contract in Signi via the API through a direct system integration. You do not need to upload the document to Signi manually.
  • Designated signer on your sideProposer details in settings define who automatically signs documents on behalf of your company and at what location. You do not have to handle your company’s signature on every single document.
  • Cancel pending signatures anytimeCancel an in-progress signature using the cancel action. When a document changes or is no longer needed, you do not have to wait for the contract to expire.
  • System monitors signature statusDraivix checks the signature status regularly, every 10 minutes by default. You know when a document is signed without manually checking Signi.
  • Signed copy attached to the documentThe system downloads the signed PDF and attaches it to the document. You can find the contract right where it originated, linked to the contact who signed it.
  • Resend expired signaturesWhen Signi reports a contract as expired, rejected or missing, the system resets the document’s signature fields so you can send it for signing again.
  • Trigger workflows after signingA document status change after signing can trigger a workflow—a predefined automated sequence. For example, it can notify a sales rep that a contract has been updated.
  • No incoming webhooks requiredThe integration does not rely on incoming webhooks from Signi; instead, Draivix fetches the signature status itself. You do not need to configure inbound callbacks from Signi.

03How it works

How it works step by step.

  1. How signing works

You initiate signing directly from a document using the send-to-Signi action. Draivix creates the contract in Signi via the API. Proposer details—who signs the document automatically on behalf of your company and the signing location—are taken from settings.

    Read in detail

An in-progress signature request can be canceled using the cancel action. The signature status is stored in the document fields.

  2. Returning the signed document

Signi does not send callbacks; Draivix polls for the status itself. A scheduled contract-check job runs every 10 minutes by default. On each run, it downloads signed PDFs and attaches them to the document.

    Read in detail

When Signi reports a contract as expired, rejected or missing, the job clears the document’s signature fields so the document can be sent for signing again. A change in document status after signing can trigger a workflow in the Automation module, such as notifying a sales rep.

  3. Communication direction

Draivix creates contracts in Signi and pulls their status from Signi itself. Signi does not send any notifications to Draivix. The integration does not add custom entities: it adds signature status fields to the document and works with the contacts and users you already have in Draivix.

    Read in detail

The signed PDF is attached directly to the document, so you can find the contract right where it was created, along with the contact who signed it.

  4. Settings

An administrator enters the Signi API key, which is stored as a secret value, along with the proposer details. The scheduled contract-check job must be created by an administrator; it is not created automatically. Without an API key, signing will not start.

    Read in detail

A signed document appears in Draivix within 10 minutes of signing at most, provided the job runs at its default interval.

04What runs automatically

Automations that save time.

  1. Signed documents within 10 minutes

The CheckSigniContracts job downloads signed PDFs every 10 minutes and attaches them to the documents. An administrator must create this job; it is not created automatically.

  2. Invalid signatures never block a document

When a contract is expired, rejected or missing, the job automatically clears the document’s signature fields. You can then send the document for signing again.

  3. Work continues after signing

When a document’s status changes after signing, a workflow in the Automation module can run automatically—notifying the sales rep without manual follow-up.

External integrations

  • Signi service integrationVia the Signi REST API, Draivix creates contracts and downloads their status and signed PDFs. Signi sends no notifications to Draivix, and the API key is stored as a secret value.

05Frequently asked questions

How do I sign a document electronically?

Trigger the send-to-Signi action on the document. Draivix creates the contract in Signi and attaches the signed PDF back to the document once signed.

How long does it take for a signed document to appear in Draivix?

Within 10 minutes at most, assuming the check job runs at its default interval. Signi does not send callbacks; Draivix polls for updates itself.

What if the counterparty rejects the signature?

The scheduled job detects the rejection and resets the document’s signature fields, allowing you to edit the document and send it again.

What is needed to enable electronic signing?

A Signi API key in settings and the scheduled contract-check job created by an administrator.

Can a sent signature request be canceled?

Yes. Trigger the cancel action on the document and the pending signature request will be canceled.
