02What the module does

Less routine. More value.

The mobile app for field technicians puts the daily route, work orders, equipment, and van stock right on the technician's phone. Technicians start and complete visits, log work, photos, and the customer's signature, and issue used parts. The back office gets the service report and billing inputs the moment the visit finishes.

  • The technician's entire day on a mapThe home screen shows the day's visits and the route on a map, including departure and return points. Technicians immediately know where they are heading and in what order.
  • Work orders right on the phoneTechnicians have their calendar, work order list, and work order details with parts right on their phone. They can pull up everything they need on site without calling the office.
  • Equipment and parts in your pocketTechnicians can open equipment and part details in the app and scan barcodes on the spot, quickly identifying whatever unit or component they are working on.
  • Visits managed from the phoneTechnicians start and finish visits directly on their phone. Dispatchers see the completed visit immediately without having to call for updates.
  • Work documented on siteThe technician fills in the checklist, work summary, and minutes worked, adds photos, and captures the customer's signature. A visit cannot be completed without the checklist, minutes, summary, and signature.
  • Service reports with zero office paperworkCompleting a visit automatically generates the service report. The office has the documentation right away, and the technician has nothing left to type up after returning.
  • Parts issued straight from the vanTechnicians issue parts to a work order from their van warehouse using standard warehouse commands. Materials are recorded against the job immediately, with no manual entry needed in the office.
  • Van stock under controlStock receipts, issues, and stocktakes in the app all run against the van warehouse. Technicians view and account for their own inventory, and your company always knows what is on hand.
  • A look that fits your stylePick the app's visual theme from ready-made designs in settings, customizing the look without changing how the work itself is done.
  • Built for smartphone capabilitiesThe app uses the phone's camera, GPS location, and push notifications. Technicians can snap job photos on site and receive alerts straight on their mobile device.

03How it works

How it works step by step.

  1. A technician's day on their phone

The home screen displays the technician's visits for the day along with a map route built from the optimized daily route, including the starting point and return trip. When no optimized route is set, the app connects stops with straight lines. It also includes a calendar, work order list, work order details with parts, equipment and part details, and barcode scanning.

  2. Every visit from start to signature

The technician opens a work order, starts the visit, fills in the checklist, work summary, and minutes worked, attaches photos, and has the customer sign on screen. Completing the visit generates a service report, and once all field visits are closed, the service case is ready for invoicing.

    Read in detail

The app never bypasses server-side checks: a visit cannot be completed without the checklist, minutes worked, summary, and signature. Everything the app writes goes through standard user permissions.

  3. Parts and van stock

A technician's van is a warehouse assigned to their user account. For a work order, the app finds an open stock issue slip or creates a new one from that warehouse, and the technician adds and issues parts using standard warehouse commands. A technician without an assigned warehouse cannot issue parts.

    Read in detail

The stock, receipt, issue, and stocktake screens operate directly on the van warehouse, so technicians can see and account for their own inventory.

  4. Appearance and operation

You can choose the app's appearance in settings from ready-made themes. The app uses the phone's camera, location, and push notifications, and works online with a live connection to the server.

    Read in detail

The app has no separate records or special rules of its own. It reads and writes the exact same field visits, work orders, routes, equipment, and warehouse documents as the back office, so dispatchers see the visit status immediately upon completion and accountants get billing data without retyping.

04What runs automatically

Automations that save time.

  1. Finished visit, finished report

When a technician completes a visit, the system generates the service report and locks the visit record. On-site entries stay unaltered, giving the back office a reliable record.

  2. Billing knows when to start

As soon as all field visits are closed, the service case moves to ready-for-invoicing status. Accountants have all billing data without retyping or chasing technicians.

  3. Stock issue slips handled automatically

When a technician issues parts to a work order, the app finds an existing open issue slip or creates a new one from the van warehouse, letting the technician focus on the job instead of paperwork.

05Frequently asked questions

What does a technician see in the app?

Their visits for the day, the route on a map, their calendar, work orders with parts, equipment details, and the stock in their van.

Can the customer sign the service report on the technician's phone?

Yes. The customer's signature is required to complete the visit and becomes part of the service report.

How does the app track used parts?

Parts are issued via a stock issue slip from the warehouse assigned to the technician—their service van. The issued material then flows directly into the service invoice.

Does the app work offline?

No. The app works online and requires a connection to the server.
