02What the module does

Less routine. More value.

Mobile warehouse is an app for handheld scanners and phones where warehouse staff receive, issue, transfer, and count stock by scanning barcodes. Every scan is saved to a standard warehouse document and posted just like on a desktop computer. Your business speeds up warehouse operations without maintaining a separate system that needs reconciliation.

  • One scan, all the detailsThe app recognizes GS1 barcodes—the international standard for item labeling—and extracts the GTIN (Global Trade Item Number), batch, expiration date, serial number, and net weight. Warehouse staff never have to type them in manually.
  • Find items by any codeThe app finds products by SKU, EAN, or serial number, and also looks up bin locations and documents. A label without a GTIN code will never slow a warehouse worker down.
  • Scan straight into the documentWarehouse staff perform receipts, issues, transfers, and stocktakes by scanning, and every scan writes directly to a standard warehouse document. Your business does not maintain a separate record system that needs reconciling.
  • Work is never tied to one deviceAn in-progress document is saved continuously, so a warehouse worker can pick up right where they left off on another device. If a scanner battery dies, nobody has to start over.
  • Same checks as on desktopConfirming in the app triggers the same posting routine as on a desktop computer, with the same stock and serial number checks. Mobile operations never bypass any warehouse rules.
  • Staff know what comes firstThe home screen shows a prioritized task queue of up to 50 items. Warehouse workers do not have to guess where to start—higher-priority work is always at the top.
  • Production in a single scanA warehouse worker scans the production order barcode to issue materials and receive the finished product in one step. Inventory never falls behind what was actually produced.
  • Built for occasional users tooThe Simple Warehouse screen displays products as photo cards where receiving or issuing takes a single tap. Even team members who do not work in the warehouse every day can use it with ease.
  • Signature attached to the documentStock issues require the recipient's name and allow a handwritten signature that is saved with the document. You can always trace who picked up the goods.
  • Double-tapping never duplicates recordstapping twice will not create a second document because the system guards against double posting. Stock levels will not move twice just because an operator tapped again.
  • Works with Zebra scannersThe app supports Zebra handheld scanners via DataWedge, Zebra's tool for passing scanned barcodes. Warehouse staff can work with purpose-built warehouse hardware, not just a phone.
  • Print server under controlEnter the label print server address in settings and the app verifies its availability and response time. You will spot any printing issue before you actually need labels.

03How it works

How it works step by step.

  1. How it works

A warehouse worker scans a label. The app recognizes the GS1 barcode and extracts the GTIN, batch, expiration date, serial number, and net weight. It then locates the product, bin location, or document. Labels without a GTIN are looked up by SKU, EAN, or serial number. The app integrates with Zebra scanners via DataWedge.

    Read in detail

Starting a receipt, issue, transfer, or stocktake creates an actual draft document in the warehouse. Each scan adds or updates a line item. An in-progress document survives an app restart, and the worker can continue working on it from another device. Confirming it runs the exact same posting routine as on a desktop computer, with all stock, serial number, and reservation checks. The app works online and never writes to the stock ledger on its own.

  2. Operator task queue

The home screen displays open receipts, issues, transfers, and stocktakes sorted by priority. In-progress stocktakes appear at the top, followed by reserved issues and transfers, drafts, and scheduled stocktakes. Other modules can add their own tasks. Manufacturing adds production orders here: the warehouse worker scans the order and issues materials and receives the finished product in a single step.

    Read in detail

A stocktake can be counted and processed from a mobile device. Approving discrepancies remains with the manager at a computer.

  3. Simple Warehouse for occasional users

The Simple Warehouse screen displays products from a single warehouse as photo cards with movement history. Both receipts and issues take a single tap. Issues require the recipient's name and support a handwritten signature saved directly to the document. If you do not select a bin location in a bin-managed warehouse, the system picks the bin with the highest stock of that product. Repeated taps will not create a duplicate document. Authorized users can also create a new product during receipt.

  4. Permissions and devices

Every action is governed by permissions for the respective document. A role without permission to create issue slips cannot issue stock from a mobile device. In settings, the user enters the label print server address, and the app verifies its availability and response time.

04What runs automatically

Automations that save time.

  1. Work sorted by priority

Operator tasks sort themselves automatically on the home screen: in-progress stocktakes at the top, followed by reserved issues and transfers, drafts, and scheduled stocktakes. Warehouse staff finish open work before starting something new.

  2. Scheduled stocktakes start automatically

When you start processing a scheduled stocktake from a mobile device, the system initiates it first. The warehouse worker does not have to walk back to a computer, while approving discrepancies remains with the manager.

  3. Reservation right before issue

When a warehouse worker issues stock against an unreserved issue slip, the system reserves it within the same transaction. The issue either completes in full or not at all, keeping stock levels aligned with documents.

External integrations

  • Zebra scanners in the appMobile warehouse connects to Zebra scanners via DataWedge. Barcodes scanned on the device pass straight into the app, so warehouse staff never have to type anything manually.
  • Connected to label printingThe app connects to your label print server. Enter the server address in settings and the app checks availability and response time so you know the connection is working.

05Frequently asked questions

Which barcode scanners does Draivix support?

The app runs on handheld scanners and smartphones, and integrates with Zebra scanners via DataWedge.

Does Mobile warehouse work offline?

No, it works online. In-progress documents are saved on the server, so you can continue right where you left off once your connection is restored or on another device.

What barcodes can the app read?

GS1 barcodes with a GTIN, from which it also extracts batch, expiration date, serial number, and weight. Labels without a GTIN are looked up by SKU, EAN, or serial number.

What is Simple Warehouse?

A screen designed for occasional users featuring product cards with photos. Receipts and issues take a single tap, and issues capture the recipient's name and signature.

Can I approve a stocktake from a mobile device?

No. You count and process the stocktake on a mobile device, while a manager approves discrepancies on a computer.
