02What the module does

Less routine. More value.

The WooCommerce integration loads your e-shop’s catalog, customers and orders into Draivix. Imports can be repeated without creating duplicates, and every run is tracked in the ETL module. The only write-back to WooCommerce is pushing product descriptions matched by SKU.

  • Exporting leaves your e-shop untouchedThe export reads your catalog, customers and orders from the WooCommerce database in a read-only transaction and saves them as a snapshot, leaving your live e-shop completely untouched.
  • Validate your data firstBefore importing, validation checks the export snapshot without writing to Draivix, so you can catch any issues before data is loaded into the system.
  • Clear import progressYour catalog, customers and orders are loaded as a tracked run in the ETL module, which manages data transfers. On a live import, you can see the exact outcome of the transfer.
  • Dry run by defaultExports, imports and description pushes run in dry-run mode until you explicitly run them live, letting you test the process without writing any live data.
  • Repeated imports never duplicate dataRepeating an import with the same request key reuses the existing run and never creates a record twice, so you can safely re-run imports at any time.
  • Verified order packagesImporting orders requires both the package file and its SHA-256 checksum, ensuring Draivix loads only packages that match the expected checksum.
  • Orders with unknown products waitDepending on your settings, an order containing a product unknown to Draivix can be placed on hold so it won’t move forward until you resolve the product.
  • Shorter order numbers when you want themYou can optionally enable short order numbers in the settings. If left off, numbering stays unchanged, so you can choose what fits your workflow.
  • Product descriptions pushed back to the e-shopProduct descriptions are sent to WooCommerce via the REST API and matched by product code (SKU). This is the only write-back; no other fields are written to the e-shop.

03How it works

How it works step by step.

  1. How the import works

The import follows three steps for the catalog, customers and orders alike. The export reads the store database in a read-only transaction and saves a snapshot to a directory; database credentials are stored in a file readable only by its owner. Validation checks the snapshot without writing any data. The import then loads it into Draivix.

    Read in detail

Exports, imports and description pushes all run as dry runs until you explicitly run them live. On a live run, each import is recorded as a tracked run in the ETL module. Order imports also require a package file and its SHA-256 checksum.

  2. Repeated runs without duplicates

Every import has a request key. Repeating a run with the same key reuses the existing run; if you omit the key, a new one is created. Replaying an import never creates a record twice because the source record’s identity remains unchanged.

Products, categories, product listings, sales orders, tax classes and website customer profiles receive their WooCommerce identifier. The integration does not create custom entities of its own.

  3. Orders and settings

Orders containing a product unknown to Draivix can be placed on hold, controlled by a setting for orders with unknown products. Another setting enables short order numbers.

    Read in detail

Imported orders trigger standard events, so workflows in the Automation module respond to them.

  4. Writing descriptions back

The only write-back to WooCommerce is sending product descriptions via the WooCommerce REST API. Products are matched by product code (SKU). The REST API key and secret are stored in a file readable only by its owner. No other fields are written back to the e-shop.

    Read in detail

The import has no scheduled job. It is triggered by an administrator or the implementation team, typically when migrating the e-shop to Draivix.

04What runs automatically

Automations that save time.

  1. Live imports always tracked

When run live, the import is automatically queued as a tracked ETL run, leaving a clear progress record for every transfer into your company.

  2. Unresolved orders are held automatically

When an order contains an unknown product and the setting is enabled, it is automatically placed on hold—so you don’t have to watch for unresolved products manually.

  3. Imports trigger your workflows

An imported order triggers a standard event that workflows in the Automation module respond to, letting you follow up on imports with the same processes you use elsewhere in the system.

External integrations

  • Direct database readDraivix reads the catalog, customers and orders directly from the WooCommerce database in a read-only transaction. Credentials are stored in a file readable only by its owner.
  • Only descriptions are written backOnly product descriptions are written back to the e-shop via the WooCommerce REST API, nothing else. The REST API key and secret are stored in a file readable only by the owner.

What the AI agent handles

  • Import status on demand

On request, the AI assistant displays the import run status using the general ETL tool. You can check the progress of your WooCommerce migration directly in the chat.

05Frequently asked questions

Can Draivix import an e-shop from WooCommerce?

Yes. It loads your catalog, customers, and orders from a store database snapshot and records every import as a tracked ETL run.

Does Draivix write anything back to WooCommerce?

Only product descriptions, which it sends via the WooCommerce REST API and matches by SKU. No other fields are written back to the e-shop.

Can I test the import first?

Yes. Export, import, and product description push all run as a dry run until you execute them live, and the snapshot can be inspected beforehand without writing any data.

What happens to an order containing an unknown product?

If the setting for orders with unknown products is enabled, the order is held until the product is added.

Does the WooCommerce import run automatically?

No. The integration does not have a scheduled job; the import is triggered by an administrator or the implementation team.
