02What the module does
Less routine. More value.
The Mattermost module embeds team chat and calls directly into Draivix. Users can chat on a dedicated page, in floating windows, or via a dashboard widget, and see associated channels right on project or company records. Draivix provisions chat accounts automatically, so new team members have chat access from their very first login.
- Chat right where you workChat is accessible as a full page, in floating windows, or in a dashboard widget. You can reply to colleagues without leaving your work in the ERP.
- New teammates get chat immediatelyDraivix creates the chat account automatically and adds the user to the team. A new colleague can message from their very first login without manual setup.
- Deactivation applies to chat tooWhen you deactivate a user in Draivix, their chat account is deactivated as well. When someone leaves, you do not have to remember to disable another separate system.
- Account removal stays with the adminThe daily sync only adds chat accounts. Removing accounts is left to the administrator, so no colleague loses access simply because of an automated sync.
- Every project starts with its own channelWhen a project is created, a channel with the default members from settings is created automatically. The team can discuss the job right away without anyone setting up the channel manually.
- Channels link to companiesDraivix evaluates how existing channels match your companies and suggests or saves the links. Conversations you already have are connected to the right customer.
- Channels on project and company recordsProject and company detail pages include a panel showing their channels. You can jump straight from the record to the conversation about that customer or job.
- Meetings with guests in MattermostYou can run a Draivix meeting as a Mattermost call, and external guests can join too. The meeting stays linked to the record without needing another tool.
- Speaker-separated recordingsAn optional external recording bridge saves speaker-separated audio and shared screens as files on the activity, leaving you with a searchable record of the meeting.
- Notifications straight to chatDirect messages in chat act as a notification channel for Draivix. People stay informed right where they already message their colleagues.
- Messages reach mobile devices tooNew chat messages arrive as push notifications on mobile and in the browser (FCM, APNS, Web Push). Teammates see them even when they do not have Draivix open.
- Messages that disappear after readingYou can send a direct message without attachments with an expiration timer, and once read, it is deleted after the time runs out. Sensitive information never stays in chat longer than needed.
- Finished project, archived channelAn automation action archives a record’s channels—for instance, when a project moves to archived status—keeping your channel list free of completed jobs.
- Group messages on your termsYou can disable group direct messages in settings, ensuring your company keeps team communication in channels rather than closed group chats.
- Personal chat preferencesEvery user can customize their incoming call ringtone, volume, and chat appearance in their user settings without needing an administrator.
What is currently in progress
- In this version, any logged-in user can add, rename, or remove links between channels and records; permissions on the linked record are not checked.
- The in-channel assistant only replies using the last ten messages, does not remember earlier conversations, and does not work with ERP data.
- The user’s chat access token is not yet encrypted in the database.
03How it works
How it works step by step.
How it works
Draivix connects to your Mattermost server. Chat is available as a full page, in floating windows, and as a dashboard widget. Every user communicates under their own account, and the administrator key is never exposed to the browser.
Read in detail
Draivix creates chat accounts automatically when a user is saved, during a daily check at 6:15, and on demand. It adds the user to the team and issues an access token. When a user is deactivated in Draivix, their chat account is deactivated too. The daily check only adds accounts; removing them awaits administrator review.
Project and customer channels
When creating a project, Draivix can immediately create a channel and add members to it, including default members configured in settings. If channel creation fails, the project is still created and a batch job adds the channel later.
Read in detail
Channels can also be linked to companies. Draivix can score existing channels based on how well they match company names and either suggest or save the link. You then see the linked channels right on the record and can add members to them. An automation rule can archive channels—for example, when a project moves to archived status.
Calls and recordings
A meeting in Draivix can be held as a Mattermost call, and external guests can join too. An optional external recording bridge saves per-speaker audio tracks and shared screens as attachments on the activity. Draivix evaluates recording consent, and old audio recordings are purged on a regular schedule.
Notifications and disappearing messages
Direct messages in chat serve as a notification channel for Draivix alerts. New chat messages arrive as push notifications on mobile devices and in the browser. The menu displays the number of unread messages and mentions.
Read in detail
You can send a direct message without attachments with an expiration time. Once read by the recipient, the message is deleted after the timer expires; a job running every minute cleans up any expired messages.
04What runs automatically
Automations that save time.
Morning chat account check
Every day at 6:15, the system checks chat accounts and creates any that are missing. Anyone whose account was not created upon saving gets one by the next morning at the latest.
Chat deletes expired messages
Every minute, a background job finds disappearing messages whose expiration time has passed and deletes them, so short-lived information never stays in chat longer than intended.
New project, new channel
When you create a project, the system creates its channel and adds members. If channel creation fails, the project is still created and a batch job adds the channel later.
Rule-based channel archiving
When a rule condition is met—for example, a project moves to archived status—an automation action archives the channel so nobody has to close it manually.
Continuous recording processing
Every minute, the system processes call recordings and retries any stalled ones every 10 minutes, ensuring meeting records never get stuck unnoticed.
Old recordings are purged
Every day at 3:40, the system purges old audio recordings. Call recordings do not stay stored forever and nobody has to delete them by hand.
External integrations
- Connected to your MattermostDraivix connects to your Mattermost server via REST API v4 and WebSocket, streaming messages and live chat activity so you always see the current conversation.
- Calls via Mattermost CallsThe Mattermost Calls plugin powers voice and video meetings inside chat. Your team and external guests can join calls without needing a separate meeting tool.
- Chat alerts delivered to devicesThe Draivix Push plugin for Mattermost forwards new chat messages as notifications to mobile devices and browsers, so people are notified even when chat is closed.
- Call recordings on the activityAn optional external recording bridge forwards per-speaker call recordings and shared screens to Draivix, where they are saved as files on the activity.
- Mobile and browser deliveryFCM, APNS, and Web Push services deliver chat notifications to mobile phones and browsers, so messages reach users even outside an open Draivix window.
What the AI agent handles
Posts to chat when you ask
The assistant sends a chat message on your instruction (send_chat_message). You can pass information to colleagues straight from your conversation with the assistant without switching to chat.
Replies in a channel when mentioned
When you mention the assistant in a channel, it replies based on the last ten messages. It does not access ERP records, serving as a quick helper for the ongoing conversation.
A person approves whenever money, a customer, or an exception is involved.
05Frequently asked questions
Do I need my own Mattermost server?
Yes. Draivix connects to a Mattermost server whose URL and team you enter in settings. The module does not include the server itself or its plugins.
Do I have to create chat accounts for users manually?
No. Draivix creates the account when a user is saved, and a daily check fills in any missing ones. Deactivated users are also deactivated in chat.
Is a channel created automatically for a new project?
Yes, if you select that option when creating the project. Draivix creates the channel, adds members, and links it to the project.
Will I get message notifications on my phone?
Yes. New messages arrive as push notifications in both the mobile app and the browser.
Can a Draivix meeting be held as a video call?
Yes. The meeting runs as a Mattermost call, and external guests can join as well.
