02What the module does
Less routine. More value.
The Telephony module gives your team a softphone in the browser and mobile app and logs every call in the CRM as an activity on the contact, lead, or company. Incoming calls ring first for the person who called the customer most recently or who owns the record. When transcription is enabled, Draivix saves the transcript after the call and prepares a brief summary.
- Call from browser or mobileThe softphone—a phone right on your computer—runs in the browser and mobile app on top of LiveKit. Your team can make and take calls wherever they are working.
- Click any number to callEvery phone number in Draivix is clickable and dials immediately from your selected line. Nobody has to copy numbers from the screen into a phone.
- Dedicated lines for specific usersYou can assign a line to specific users while other lines stay shared. A sales rep can have a personal number while the rest of the team uses shared lines.
- Rings the person who knows the customerAn incoming call rings the person who last called that number or customer within the configured window (30 days by default). The customer speaks with someone who already knows their case.
- No call goes without a targetWhen a call does not match a recent caller, it rings the record owner, and if there is no owner, all operators. Every incoming call has a clear destination.
- Rings others if nobody answersIf nobody picks up within the set time (20 seconds by default), the call starts ringing for other operators. The first person to answer takes it, so the customer is not left waiting for one person.
- Every missed call has an ownerA missed call is assigned to its original target—the person it was meant to ring for first. They know to call back, and nobody has to ask who is handling it.
- Every call logged in CRMCalls are logged automatically as an activity on the contact, lead, or company based on the phone number. Phone conversations are always visible in the customer’s history.
- Live call transcriptionWith Soniox, both sides of the call are transcribed in real time and saved to the activity. Audio is not recorded. You can review what was discussed without taking notes on the fly.
- Call summary ready in the activityThe system generates a call summary from the transcript and saves it in the activity description. Colleagues can see what was discussed without reading the whole transcript.
- Calls from external systemsCalls made outside the softphone, such as through an auto-dialer, can be logged via the API. The customer’s history then includes calls from other systems as well.
- SMS straight from the recordSend or reply to an SMS directly from the customer’s record. The message stays with the customer, and nobody has to text from a personal phone.
- Incoming SMS finds the customerAn incoming SMS is matched to a record by phone number and triggers a notification. A customer’s reply never gets lost on a phone nobody is watching.
- Rule-based SMS sendingThe “send SMS” automation action texts a customer automatically—for example after a deal is won. You can define the recipient by a fixed number, the record’s phone field, or related records.
- Incoming call indicator in the headerAn indicator in the application header alerts you to an incoming call. You will spot it even while working on another screen in Draivix.
What is currently in progress
- Direct carrier connection via SIP trunk is not included and requires a separate connector. Currently, lines connect through a Yeastar GSM gateway.
- Twilio and the Yeastar GSM gateway are available as SMS providers; any other provider requires adding a connector.
- The AI assistant does not have dedicated tools in this module.
03How it works
How it works step by step.
How it works
The softphone runs in the browser and mobile app, with calls carried over LiveKit. Phone numbers across Draivix are clickable: one click dials straight from your chosen line. The softphone includes a dialpad, directory search, recent calls, microphone and speaker selection, an audio test, and diagnostics.

Lines connect through carrier connectors. A connector for the Yeastar GSM gateway is included, so SIM cards in the gateway work as company lines. You can dedicate a line to specific people while keeping other lines shared.
Who answers an incoming call
An incoming call on a dedicated line rings only for the people assigned to it. Otherwise, Draivix checks whether anyone in the company called that number or customer in the last 30 days and rings the person who called most recently. If not, it rings the record owner, and if there is no owner, all operators.

If nobody answers within 20 seconds, the call starts ringing for the remaining operators as well. The first person to pick up gets the call. A missed call is assigned to the original target so they know to call back. Your company can configure both timeouts.
Call logging, transcription, and summaries
When a call ends, it is logged as an activity on the contact, lead, or company matched by phone number, complete with call duration or marked as missed. Calls placed outside the softphone, such as via an auto-dialer, can be logged through the API.

With a Soniox API key configured, the softphone transcribes both sides of the conversation in real time and saves the transcript to the activity. Audio is not recorded. One minute after the call ends, Draivix generates a summary from the transcript and places it in the call description.
SMS
The module keeps a log of SMS messages. You can send or reply to an SMS directly from a record. Incoming text messages are matched by phone number to a contact, lead, or company, and the system sends a notification. Twilio is built in as a provider, and the Yeastar GSM gateway is also supported via a connector.

Automation rules can send an SMS, for example to a customer after a deal is won. You can set the recipient using a fixed number, the record’s phone field, or related records.
04What runs automatically
Automations that save time.
Incoming calls find the right person
When a call comes in, the system checks line assignment, the last caller, and the record owner to decide whose phone rings. The call goes straight to the person responsible for that customer.
Other operators join after a timeout
Once the configured timeout expires, the call starts ringing for the remaining operators. You set the timeout yourself so customers never wait longer than you want.
Call ends, record is ready
As soon as a call ends, the system logs it in the CRM with the call duration or as a missed call. Nobody has to fill in call logs manually after hanging up.
Summary ready a minute after the call
One minute after a transcribed call ends, the system prepares a summary from the transcript. You will find it in the call description where colleagues can easily look it up.
SMS linked straight to the customer
When an SMS arrives, the system matches it by number to a contact, lead, or company and sends a notification. Nobody has to search for the message or forward it.
Automation rules send SMS
When an event in an automation rule occurs—such as a won opportunity—the system sends an SMS. Routine customer messages do not depend on someone remembering to send them.
External integrations
- Calls powered by LiveKitLiveKit carries softphone audio and provides the SIP bridge that connects calls to your phone lines. Your team can call from both the browser and the mobile app.
- Live transcription via SonioxSoniox continuously converts speech to text and saves it to the call activity. Audio is not recorded—your company keeps only the written transcript.
- SMS via TwilioTwilio is the built-in SMS provider for sending and receiving text messages. All messages appear in Draivix right on the customer’s record.
- Your own SIM cards as phone linesThe YeastarIntegration module connects a Yeastar TG GSM gateway. Calls and SMS run through the SIM cards in the gateway, so your company uses its regular mobile numbers.
05Frequently asked questions
Do I need a desk phone to make calls from Draivix?
No. You make calls using the softphone in your browser or mobile app. All you need is a headset with a microphone.
How do I connect my phone numbers?
Through a carrier connector. A connector is included for the Yeastar GSM gateway, where each SIM card acts as a line. Connecting via a SIP trunk requires a separate connector.
Does Draivix record calls?
No, audio is not recorded. When the Soniox service is enabled, a text transcript and a call summary generated from it are saved.
Who gets routed an incoming call?
First, users with a dedicated line; otherwise the person who last called the customer, then the record owner, and finally all operators.
Are calls logged in the CRM automatically?
Yes. Once a call ends, it is logged as an activity on the contact, lead, or company based on the phone number, including the call duration.
