02What the module does
Less routine. More value.
Magic Office is a browser-based spreadsheet and document editor. The spreadsheet editor loads data from any record type or from a file and imports your edits back into the system with full tracking, permission checks, and rollback support. The text editor works with DOCX, Markdown, and HTML formats and also exports documents to PDF.
- System data as a spreadsheetOn the spreadsheet editor page, choose any record type and the editor loads the data as a table. Make bulk edits in a familiar spreadsheet interface.
- Only the columns you needSelect which fields to display in the spreadsheet. You work only with the data you are currently editing, without other fields getting in the way.
- Open your own files in the editorLoad an uploaded file into the spreadsheet editor as well. Edit spreadsheets you received from a colleague, for example, right inside the system.
- Suggested column mappingWhen importing back, the editor suggests how columns map to fields. Instead of mapping from scratch, you simply review the suggestion.
- Data validated before savingThe editor validates your data before importing. You spot issues before any changes touch live records.
- Every import is loggedImports run through the Data Import module, complete with a run log, row counts, and error rows. You know exactly what was written from the spreadsheet and what was not.
- Roll back any importYou can monitor the import status in real time and roll back the import if needed. Rolling back deletes the records created by the import, not changes made to existing records.
- The editor never exceeds your permissionsImports always run under the signed-in user and their permissions—there is no userless system import. You always know who triggered the change, and access rights remain enforced.
- Documents don't stay stuck on a local driveThe text editor saves documents to the server as records with a title and content. Each document belongs to the user who wrote it rather than sitting only on their local drive.
- Bring in existing drafts with easeImport documents from DOCX, Markdown or HTML files. Bring text you have already drafted straight into the editor without retyping it.
- Output in the format you needExport documents to DOCX, Markdown, HTML or PDF (PDF is for export only). Deliver the output in the exact format your recipient needs.
- Open spreadsheets via the AI assistantThe AI assistant opens the bulk spreadsheet editor for your selected data. Jump straight from the conversation into editing, with the import running under your permissions.
What is currently in progress
- Real-time collaborative editing of a single document by multiple users is not available in this edition because the collaboration server is not deployed.
03How it works
How it works step by step.
Spreadsheet editor over system data
On the spreadsheet editor page, select a record type and fields, and the editor loads the data as a spreadsheet. You can also upload your own file. Edit data in a familiar spreadsheet environment.
Read in detail
When importing back, the editor suggests column-to-field mappings, validates the data, and runs the import under your user account. Because the import runs through the Data Import module, it includes the same audit trail, row counts, error rows, and rollback option. An import working session stays active for six hours.
Text editor
The text editor creates documents saved on the server as records with a title and content. Each document belongs to the user who created it. You can import a document from a DOCX, Markdown, or HTML file and export it to those formats as well as PDF (PDF is export-only).
AI assistant integration
The AI assistant can open the bulk spreadsheet editor over selected data, check the status of an import, and roll an import back. Imports and rollbacks always run under the logged-in user's permissions—there is no userless system import.
04What runs automatically
Automations that save time.
Mapping turns into an import configuration
When importing data back, the system converts your spreadsheet mapping into an import configuration. You don't have to re-enter the column assignments you already prepared in the spreadsheet.
Source file stays saved
The imported file is automatically saved as an attachment, so you can always check later which source data was brought into the system.
Sessions don't stay open forever
An import working session expires after six hours. Unfinished work does not remain open indefinitely, so the import must be completed within that window.
What the AI agent handles
Spreadsheet over selected data
The assistant opens the bulk spreadsheet editor for your data. You can kick off a larger edit right from the chat, and the changes are written to the system by an import running under your permissions.
Check import progress
Ask the assistant to check the status of an import run—no need to open the import log just to see if it has finished.
Rollback strictly within your permissions
The assistant rolls back an import under your permissions. A rollback never runs with higher privileges than those you hold yourself.
A person approves whenever money, a customer, or an exception is involved.
05Frequently asked questions
Can I bulk-edit data in Draivix like in Excel?
Yes. The spreadsheet editor loads data for the selected record type, lets you edit it, and writes it back via an import with full tracking and rollback support.
Can a spreadsheet import be rolled back?
Yes. Because the import runs through the Data import module, the records it created can be rolled back.
What formats does the text editor support?
Import from DOCX, Markdown and HTML, and export to those same formats as well as PDF.
Can two people edit a document at the same time?
Not in this edition. Each document is saved as a record and belongs to the user who created it.
Can I upload my own file to the spreadsheet editor?
Yes. The editor loads your uploaded file into a spreadsheet, and you can import its data into the system using the same workflow.
