02What the module does

Less routine. More value.

The digital site logbook replaces paper construction logs: the site manager records daily entries on a phone right on site. Once signed, an entry cannot be altered; corrections are recorded as a new entry. You can export the logbook to PDF for inspections.

  • A dedicated logbook for every siteThe site logbook holds the building permit number, address and GPS coordinates. During an inspection, all core site details are in one place.
  • Responsible people in one placeThe logbook lists the site manager, technical supervisor and lead designer. During an inspection or when an issue arises, you immediately know who to contact.
  • An entry type for every situationYou can create an entry as a daily log, inspection, note or handover. That makes it easy to distinguish routine site work from formal inspections.
  • The full workday in a single entryRecord weather, temperature, workers, machinery and deliveries in each entry. Later on, you can see the exact conditions and crews on site for any given day.
  • Photos and documents attached to the entryAttach photos and documents directly to the entry. Evidence of completed work stays with the specific record instead of scattered across phones.
  • Time and location captured by the phoneThe phone automatically provides the capture timestamp and GPS coordinates. The site manager doesn't have to type them in, and every entry clearly shows when and where it was made.
  • No duplicates when signal dropsEvery entry has a unique identifier, so resending after a lost connection never creates a duplicate record. You can safely tap send again on site without worry.
  • Signature with name and timestampSign entries with an electronic signature that captures the name and time of signing. It is always clear who confirmed the record and when, even without a paper logbook.
  • Once signed, it is lockedA signed entry cannot be modified or deleted; the system rejects and logs any attempt. Corrections are added as new entries, keeping the original record intact.
  • Inspection-ready PDF logbookExport the entire logbook to a chronological PDF complete with photos and signatures. When an inspection arrives, your documentation is ready and saved as an attachment on the logbook.
  • Each crew sees only its own sitesAccess to logbooks can be restricted by team so each crew sees only its assigned construction sites. Entries stay visible only to the people involved.

03How it works

How it works step by step.

  1. Site logbook

Each construction site has its own logbook with the building permit number, site address and GPS coordinates, contractor, names of the site manager, technical supervisor and lead designer, plus start and completion dates. The logbook is linked to a project and a customer, and is closed by setting a closing date.

    Read in detail

The logbook is designed for the site manager recording entries on site and for inspectors reviewing the log. Access to logbooks can be restricted by team, so each crew only sees its own sites. The logbook home screen is shown to users who are authorized to create entries.

  2. Entries recorded right on site

An entry can be a daily log, inspection, note or handover. It includes a work description, weather, temperature, workers, machinery and deliveries, along with attached photos and documents. The phone supplies the capture timestamp, GPS location and accuracy; any missing timestamp or author is filled in by the server.

    Read in detail

The page is built for mobile use and leverages the camera and location services in the Draivix app. Every entry carries a unique identifier, so resending after a connection drop never creates duplicates.

  3. Signature and immutability

You sign an entry with an electronic signature that records the signer's name and timestamp. A signed entry cannot be edited or deleted; the system blocks and logs any attempt. Corrections are entered as a new record, and all changes are tracked in the action history.

  4. Export for inspections

Exporting to PDF generates the logbook header followed by all entries in chronological order with weather, workers, machinery, deliveries, location, photos and signature line. The PDF is saved as an attachment to the logbook.

    Read in detail

The PDF layout is fixed, while labels can be customized. You can attach an automation rule to entry creation—such as an inspection entry—to notify the technical supervisor.

04What runs automatically

Automations that save time.

  1. Timestamp and author filled in automatically

If a submitted entry is missing its timestamp or author, the server fills them in automatically. Every record in the logbook remains traceable even if the site manager left those fields blank.

  2. Signed entries are protected

If anyone tries to edit or delete a signed entry, the system blocks the action and logs the attempt. Your company can prove that no record was altered after signing.

05Frequently asked questions

Can I keep the site logbook on my phone?

Yes. Entries—including photos, location and signatures—are captured on a mobile-friendly page inside the Draivix app.

Can someone edit a signed entry later on?

No. A signed entry cannot be edited or deleted through the application; any corrections are recorded as a new entry.

How do I hand the logbook over for an inspection?

By exporting it to PDF. The file includes all entries in chronological order with photos, location data and signatures.

Does the server verify the entry's time and location?

No. The capture timestamp and GPS coordinates are provided by the phone, and the server stores them as received.

What happens if an entry is sent twice due to a weak signal?

Nothing is duplicated. Each entry gets a unique identifier from the phone, so repeated submissions never create duplicate records.
