02What the module does

Less routine. More value.

The Matomo module imports website visits and visitors from the Matomo analytics platform into Draivix, along with daily metrics for websites and individual pages. You view traffic data in dashlets right next to your sales and marketing overviews, without switching to another application.

  • Traffic from multiple websites in one placeDraivix fetches the latest visits for every configured website from Matomo, the web analytics platform. You see traffic across multiple sites right next to your sales overviews without switching apps.
  • One visitor, one recordA single visitor record is kept for each combination of website and Matomo visitor ID, so visitors are never duplicated and your visitor counts stay accurate.
  • Daily pulse of your websitesThe system stores daily website summaries with visit and visitor counts, making it easy to track how your traffic evolves over time.
  • See which pages keep people engagedVisits and exits are recorded daily for individual pages. You can see which pages people visit and where they leave your website.
  • Fresh data from MatomoMatomo synchronization runs every 5 minutes and stops as soon as it encounters 25 already known visits in a row. Overviews in Draivix always show up-to-date traffic.
  • Missed runs are no problemDaily summaries are reloaded retroactively on every run, catching delayed visits and any missed runs. That leaves no gaps in your overviews.
  • Encrypted token storageThe access token for your Matomo instance is stored encrypted in Draivix. Your analytics credentials are never kept in plain text in the system.
  • Analytics on your dashboardAdd dashlets—compact overview panels—to your dashboard with a summary and line chart for websites or pages. Track web traffic right alongside your sales figures.
  • Websites named your wayEnter your list of tracked websites in the settings and give them custom labels. In your overviews, you can easily recognize each site by a name that makes sense to your business.
  • Imports within safe limitsYou set the import limits yourself: visits per page, pages per run, and page URLs per website. The system enforces valid ranges so limits cannot be set outside safe bounds.
  • History right from the startDuring setup, you can backfill daily website summaries for a chosen number of days (30 by default). Your overviews show trends from day one.
  • Bulk analytics tab rolloutAdd an analytics tab to user dashboards in bulk. You do not have to configure it for each person individually, and your team has the data right at hand.

03How it works

How it works step by step.

  1. What gets imported

Draivix fetches recent visits for each configured website from Matomo and stores them as visits and visitors. Each unique combination of website and Matomo visitor ID creates a single visitor record, preventing duplicates. In addition, the system stores daily website summaries (visits and visitors) and daily page metrics (visits and exits).

    Read in detail

Visitors are intentionally not linked to CRM contacts or leads.

  2. Sync frequency and reliability

Synchronization runs every 5 minutes. It fetches data in pages with a configurable limit and stops as soon as it encounters 25 consecutive visits it already knows. Daily website summaries are refreshed over a rolling lookback window on every run, catching delayed visits and any missed runs. Metrics are calculated in each website’s timezone as configured in Matomo.

  3. Settings and dashlets

In the settings, you enter your Matomo instance URL, an access token (stored encrypted) and a list of websites with labels. The system enforces safe ranges for visits per page, pages per run and page URLs per website.

    Read in detail

You can add an overview dashlet and a website or page line-chart dashlet to your dashboard. An analytics dashboard tab can also be provisioned for users in bulk.

During initial setup, you can backfill daily website summaries for a chosen number of past days (30 by default) and import page metrics from a file. Dashlets and tabs from older versions can be migrated to the current format with a single command.

04What runs automatically

Automations that save time.

  1. Imports run every 5 minutes

Every 5 minutes, the system fetches new visits and metrics from Matomo. Data in your overviews updates continuously without anyone having to download it manually.

  2. Summaries are backfilled automatically

On every run, the system reloads daily website summaries over a rolling lookback window. This fills in delayed visits as well as any missed runs.

05Frequently asked questions

Do I need my own Matomo instance?

Yes. Draivix imports data from your Matomo instance; you enter its URL and access token in the settings.

How often is the data updated?

Synchronization runs every 5 minutes. Daily website summaries are backfilled on each run, ensuring even delayed visits are captured.

Does Draivix link website visitors to CRM contacts?

No. Visitors from Matomo are intentionally kept separate from contacts and leads.

Can I track multiple websites at once?

Yes. You enter a list of Matomo websites with labels in the settings, and each synchronization run processes all configured sites.

Where can I see Matomo data in Draivix?

In the summary dashlet and the line chart dashlet for websites or pages. You can add these dashlets to your own dashboard, or an administrator can set up an analytics tab for you.
