02What the module does

Less routine. More value.

The module tracks what material manufacturing requires and how each requirement was fulfilled. Once material is published on a production order, it records a requirement for each line, and issuing stock from the warehouse closes it with an immutable fulfillment record. For every order, your company can trace what was requested and what actually left the warehouse.

  • Requirements broken down by lineFor each line on a production order, a material requirement is created with a required date and warehouse. You can see what needs to be available, when and from where.
  • No duplicate requirementsIf you publish the same requirement again, the system does not create a duplicate. Repeating the step will not inflate your material overview.
  • Changes never slip through silentlyThe system rejects a modified requirement under the same key as a conflict. The original request is never overwritten unnoticed, and any discrepancy is immediately visible.
  • Clear status for every requirementEvery requirement is active, closed or cancelled, and a closed requirement can be reopened. You always know what is still waiting to be fulfilled.
  • Stock issue closes the requirementWhen material is issued to production, the requirement closes automatically. Nobody has to check it off manually, and the overview reflects actual stock issues.
  • Fulfillment records that cannot be overwrittenEach inventory movement creates an immutable fulfillment record linked to the movement and document. On the production order, you can trace what actually left the warehouse.
  • Requirements end with the orderWhen you cancel a production order, its open requirements are cancelled as well. Material does not stay listed for production that will not take place.
  • Priority aligned with your productionYou set requirement priority in production, with a default value of 100. It reflects what takes precedence in your company.
  • Snapshot of the rules in effect at the timeEach requirement stores a snapshot of the production profile—the rules that were followed at the time. Even later on, you can trace what applied then.
  • Requirements right on the orderYou can find both requirements and fulfillments in the standard record list and on the production order detail page, right where you already manage production.
  • Closure triggers the next stepThe module emits events, such as closing a requirement, that you can hook automation rules into to generate notifications or tasks.

What is currently in progress

  • Supply proposals, their allocation to requirements, and conversion into a draft production order, purchase order or stock transfer exist as services, but no screen, API or scheduled job calls them.
  • The system does not calculate net requirements against on-hand stock and open orders; today, only production orders create requirements.
  • The requirement coverage overview and fulfillment record reversal have no user interface in the application.
  • Stock replenishment runs via a nightly minimum-stock check and manual ordering in the warehouse module.

03How it works

How it works step by step.

  1. How it works

When a production order publishes its material requirements, the module records one requirement for each consumed bill-of-materials line. Each requirement carries the product, unit, exact quantity, required date, warehouse, priority and a snapshot of the active production profile. Republishing the same requirement does not create duplicates. A modified requirement under the same key is rejected by the system as a conflict.

    Read in detail

A requirement is active, closed or cancelled. A closed requirement can be reopened. Statuses are changed only by commands that specify their source, such as a warehouse stock issue or cancellation of a production order. Cancelling a production order or returning it to draft cancels its open requirements.

  2. Fulfillment records

When material is issued to production, a fulfillment record is created for each inventory movement. The record carries the quantity, a link to the movement and document, and origin details. The requirements are then closed. Fulfillment records are never overwritten; any correction would be a new offsetting entry. Both requirements and fulfillments are available in the standard record list and on the production order detail page.

    Read in detail

You can attach automation rules for notifications or tasks to module events, such as when a requirement is closed.

  3. How stock is replenished today

Missing material is currently ordered in the warehouse module. A nightly automatic purchasing job creates draft purchase orders for products below their minimum stock level, and an Order action is available on individual products. Supply proposals, their allocation to requirements, and conversion into a draft production order, purchase order or stock transfer exist in the system as services, but cannot yet be triggered from the application.

04What runs automatically

Automations that save time.

  1. Publishing creates requirements

As soon as you publish material on a production order, the system records a requirement for each line. Production gets itemized material demands without manual entry.

  2. Stock issue records fulfillment

When material is issued to production, the system records fulfillment entries and closes the requirements. On the order, you can see both what was requested and what actually left the warehouse.

  3. Reverting an order cancels requirements

When you cancel a production order or return it to draft, the system cancels its open requirements. Demands that no longer apply do not linger in your records.

05Frequently asked questions

Does Draivix calculate MRP?

No. The module tracks material requirements from production orders and their fulfillment. Stock replenishment is handled by a nightly minimum-stock check and manual orders in the warehouse.

Where do material requirements come from?

From the production order. The Publish material requirements action calculates material from the active bill-of-materials revision and records a requirement for each line.

When is a requirement closed?

When material is issued to production. Each inventory movement creates a fulfillment record and closes the requirement.

Can fulfillment records be edited?

No. Fulfillment records are immutable so that you can always trace what actually left the warehouse.
