02What the module does
Less routine. More value.
The Google integration is the single place where Draivix connects to Google accounts. With one sign-in, users link their Gmail, calendar, and contacts, choosing what to synchronize for each connection. Your company can also use Google Maps to calculate routes for field technicians.
- One connection, three servicesEmail, calendar, and contacts all run through a single Google OAuth client—one sign-in configuration for all accounts. The administrator does not have to connect each service separately.
- Users connect their own accountsUsers with integration permissions connect their Google account themselves by signing in with Google. You decide who is allowed to connect, and the administrator does not have to set up each user manually.
- Each user chooses what to syncEmail, calendar, and contacts can be toggled on or off individually for each connection. Users only bring into Draivix what they need for their work.
- Gmail inbox created automaticallyAs soon as a Google account is connected, Draivix creates a Gmail email account. The user can start working with email right away without any extra setup.
- Google Calendar in DraivixEvents from the primary Google calendar sync every five minutes. In the Calendar module, you see the appointments people schedule in Google.
- Google Contacts updated dailyContacts from Google are imported into Draivix once a day. Your team can work with the contacts they maintain in Google without retyping them manually.
- Driving distance and travel timeUsing Google Maps, Draivix calculates road distance and driving time. Use it to plan technician routes when your company does not have Mapy.cz set up.
- Connections renew automaticallyAccess tokens—temporary keys to the Google account—are refreshed automatically. Users do not have to sign in again when a token expires.
- Clean removal on disconnectWhen you disconnect a Google account, the email account created by that connection is removed as well. No orphaned inbox is left behind in the system.
- Administrator-controlled permissionsThe administrator configures the permission scopes and the Gmail Pub/Sub topic. Your company stays in full control of what Draivix can access in Google accounts.
- Safe sign-in redirectThe sign-in security parameter is single-use, and the return URL after sign-in only ever leads to a page inside Draivix. Connecting an account never redirects the user anywhere else.
03How it works
How it works step by step.
How it works
An administrator enters the OAuth client credentials from Google Cloud Console in the settings. Any user with integration permissions then clicks to connect, grants consent in Google, and is redirected back to Draivix. Draivix saves the connection and immediately sets up a Gmail email account.

Email, calendar, and contacts can be enabled or disabled individually for each connection. Disconnecting also removes the email account created by the connection. Access tokens renew automatically.
Calendar and contacts
Google Calendar syncs every five minutes, with Draivix pulling events from the primary calendar. Google Contacts are imported once a day at 3:25. Email syncs separately via the Gmail module.

Routes for field technicians
With a Google Maps key, Draivix can convert addresses into coordinates and calculate road distance and driving time. This is used to plan technician routes when a company does not have Mapy.cz configured.
Connection security
Only users authorized by an administrator can connect their accounts. The sign-in security state parameter is single-use, and the post-login redirect always returns to a page inside Draivix—nowhere else. The administrator defines the permission scopes for email, calendar, and contacts in the settings.
04What runs automatically
Automations that save time.
Regular calendar sync
Every five minutes, the system syncs events from Google Calendar. New appointments appear in Draivix without manual intervention.
Overnight contact import
Every day at 3:25, the SyncProviderContacts job imports contacts from Google. By morning, you are working with up-to-date details without anyone having to run an import.
Automatic token refresh
Whenever an access token needs to be renewed, the system refreshes it automatically. The Google account connection keeps running without forcing the user to sign in again.
External integrations
- Google account sign-inGoogle OAuth handles authentication and passes user consent to Draivix. The administrator enters the OAuth client from Google Cloud Console, and users then connect their own accounts.
- Email via GmailMessages are synced and sent through the Gmail API. Email synchronization is handled by the dedicated Gmail module while sharing the same single account connection.
- Appointments from Google CalendarDraivix pulls events from the primary calendar in Google Calendar. You see them in the Calendar module right alongside the rest of your company’s schedule.
- Contacts from Google ContactsGoogle People / Contacts brings contacts from Google into Draivix, so your team does not have to maintain the same contacts twice.
- Maps for route planningGoogle Maps converts addresses into coordinates (Geocoding) and calculates road distance and driving time (Distance Matrix). It is used for technician routes when a company does not use Mapy.cz.

Does Draivix sync Google Calendar?
Yes. Events from the primary Google calendar are fetched every five minutes.
Does Draivix import contacts from Google?
Yes, once a day. Contact synchronization can be turned off for any individual connection.
Does each user have to connect Google themselves?
Yes. The administrator sets up the OAuth client and authorizes which users may connect, and each user then connects their own account.
What does Draivix use Google Maps for?
To calculate road distance and driving time when planning technician routes, if the company does not use Mapy.cz.
What happens when I disconnect my Google account?
Draivix removes the connection as well as the email account created for it. Synchronization of email, calendar, and contacts from that account stops.
