02What the module does

Less routine. More value.

The AccountingCZ module adds Czech statutory compliance to Draivix: Czech VAT codes and ledger, VAT returns, VAT control statements and EC sales lists in XML, ISDOC e-invoices, Czech National Bank (CNB) exchange rates and VAT ID verification. Your business prepares tax filings directly from accounting data, with every filing passing through review and approval.

  • Rate changes without reconfiguring codesVAT codes have rate validity periods, and you can load the standard set at once. When a VAT rate changes, you add a new validity period while keeping the same code.
  • VAT ledger built from your dataThe VAT ledger is compiled from accounting records and general ledger entries. You do not maintain it separately—it is driven by the exact same data as your accounting.
  • Returns and statements in one placeIn Draivix, you prepare the Czech VAT return (DPHDP3), the VAT control statement (DPHKH1) and the EC sales list (DPHSHV). All filings are generated from a single source of truth.
  • Filings go through review and approvalEvery filing moves through Draft, Reviewed, Approved, Exported and Locked statuses. You always see whose turn it is, and every submission is properly reviewed and approved.
  • Schema-validated XMLThe XML file is validated against the XSD schema—the prescribed file structure—and saved for download. You then upload it manually to the tax portal.
  • System-calculated pro-rata deductionThe system calculates the coefficient for partial VAT deduction. Your accountant does not have to compute it outside the system, and it is applied directly when generating the XML return.
  • Single or bulk ISDOC exportExport issued and received invoices to ISDOC individually or in a ZIP archive, giving your accountant files in the exact format their software expects.
  • Nightly ISDOC handoff for your accountantWhen the scheduled task is enabled, invoices are saved as ISDOC every evening for your external accounting software. If accounting details change, a fresh export is created so the software never works with an outdated version.
  • Instant draft from an ISDOC fileImport an ISDOC file from a supplier to create a draft received invoice automatically. Instead of retyping data, you simply review it.
  • Verified VAT IDs with full historyThe system verifies VAT IDs in VIES and stores the verification log, so you can always prove what verification result you had for a counterparty at the time.
  • No surprises from unreliable VAT payersThe system syncs with the Czech register of unreliable VAT payers and continuously checks monitored companies. You see the verification status right on the company, contact and lead records.
  • CNB exchange rates and clear rulesKeep Czech National Bank (CNB) exchange rates in the system, revalue foreign currencies and choose which day's rate applies for VAT. Foreign-currency documents follow clear, consistent rules.
  • Only allowed VAT rates on line itemsRestrict which VAT rates users can select on document line items, catching invalid or unintended rates right during data entry.
  • QR code paymentsCzech document templates include a payment QR code. Customers scan it in their mobile banking app without having to type payment details manually.
  • Account assignments stored as dataAccount assignments—default posting rules for issued and received invoices—are stored as data. Your rules live in the system rather than being hardcoded into the software.

03How it works

How it works step by step.

  1. Czech VAT ledger

VAT codes support time-bound rate validity and tax classifications. A single command loads the standard Czech set. When a statutory rate changes, you simply add a new validity period without changing the code itself. The VAT ledger is compiled from accounting records and general ledger entries along with their VAT codes.

    Read in detail

You can restrict which VAT rates users may enter on line items of invoices, advances, credit notes and quotes. An empty list means no restriction. Imports bypass this restriction.

  2. Returns and statements

For each period, you prepare the Czech VAT return (DPHDP3), the Czech VAT control statement (DPHKH1) and the EC sales list (DPHSHV) for EU supplies. The system calculates the pro-rata deduction coefficient and applies it when generating the XML return. Every filing moves through the statuses Draft, Reviewed, Approved, Exported and Locked, and can be returned for review or back to draft.

    Read in detail

The XML file is generated only if it passes validation against the Czech Financial Administration's XSD schema. Schema versions are fixed and updated through system releases when statutory versions change. You upload the file to the tax portal manually; Draivix does not submit filings electronically. Once locked, a filing and its underlying VAT ledger entries cannot be modified.

  3. ISDOC

Export issued and received invoices to the Czech ISDOC format individually or in a ZIP archive. When the scheduled task is enabled, new invoices from a chosen date onward are saved as ISDOC every evening for your external accounting software. If an invoice's accounting data changes later, the file is re-exported automatically; text-only edits do not trigger a new export.

    Read in detail

Upload a supplier's ISDOC file on the new received invoice form to create a draft invoice directly from it.

  4. Counterparty verification

The system verifies EU VAT IDs via VIES, caching results for two hours and keeping a full verification history. When scheduled tasks are enabled, the Czech register of unreliable VAT payers is downloaded every night and monitored companies are re-checked every six hours. A verification status badge is displayed directly on companies, contacts and leads.

  5. CNB exchange rates and QR payments

Czech National Bank (CNB) exchange rates are loaded into the system and used to revalue foreign-currency balances. For sales and purchases, you configure which day's exchange rate applies for Czech VAT: for sales, the tax point date or the preceding day; for purchases, the tax point date or the posting date. Czech document templates include a payment QR code.

04What runs automatically

Automations that save time.

  1. Register downloaded overnight

When the scheduled task is enabled, the Czech register of unreliable VAT payers is downloaded every night so checks always run against current Czech Financial Administration data.

  2. Monitored VAT payers under watch

When the scheduled task is enabled, the status of monitored VAT payers is checked every six hours. You spot any change without manual lookups.

  3. Evening export for accounting software

When the scheduled task is enabled, invoices are saved as ISDOC every evening to the storage location for your accounting software. Nobody has to export them by hand.

  4. Tax document on advance payment

When an advance payment arrives, a tax document for the received payment is created automatically, saving VAT payers from issuing it manually.

  5. Accountant notified on approval

A rule in the Automation module notifies the accountant when a filing is approved or locked, so they know right away that they can proceed to the next step.

External integrations

  • EU VAT ID verificationVerify customer or supplier VAT IDs via EU VIES. Results are cached for two hours and the full verification history is saved.
  • Official register from the Czech Financial AdministrationDraivix downloads the unreliable VAT payer register from the Czech Financial Administration. You can see the verification status directly on the company, contact or lead record.
  • Czech National Bank exchange ratesDaily exchange rates from the Czech National Bank are imported automatically and used to revalue foreign-currency balances, eliminating manual entry.
  • Tax portal submission stays in your handsYou upload XML filings to the tax portal manually; Draivix does not submit them electronically on its own. You always decide what to file and when.
  • Files for your accounting softwareHand over invoices to external accounting software as ISDOC files. Your accountant can keep working in their preferred software without retyping data.
